At Polar Bear and Appliance Doctors, our employees are more than just workers, they’re part of our family. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Employee Assistance Programme of the Cayman Islands (EAP) to offer our employees support and help them resolve problems they may be facing both in and outside of work. We believe that by investing in our employees’ well-being, they will have the opportunity to pursue healthier, happier lives, create a stronger workforce, and find a perfect work/life balance.
The EAP has been offering premium, personalized counseling services for employees of Caymanian businesses for 30 years. The EAP works with employees to identify and resolve personal and professional problems that could be negatively affecting their home life, job performance, and relationships and helps to restore individual health and improve efficiency and productivity. EAP counselors work with you and your immediate family members in one-on-one or group sessions to identify issues early on, and then motivate, encourage, and guide you through resolving your problems in healthy and constructive ways.
The EAP is one of the great non-profit organizations serving the Cayman Islands and the services they provide have made a difference in lives all across the Cayman Islands. They have been instrumental in helping employees resolve relationship conflicts, workplace disputes, parenting and family issues, drug and alcohol abuse, grief, financial problems, self-improvement, and stress management. In the past few years, the EAP has hosted domestic violence intervention training for police officers, social workers, and counselors, workplace sexual harassment intervention seminars, and anti-bullying campaigns with the Cayman Islands Human Rights Commission. We are sincerely grateful for all that they do and we hope they can make a difference for you as well.
We want all of our employees to have access to the best mental health care available, so we are providing the EAP’s services as a benefit for all Polar Bear and Appliance Doctors employees free of charge. Whether you are struggling through difficult times, need someone to talk to, or just want some advice on things going on in your life, the EAP is a fantastic free, highly confidential place to turn to for support.
Polar Bear, Appliance Doctors, and EAP are hosting an orientation to the EAP programme at 8:30 am this Wednesday, July 25 in the blue warehouse behind Polar Bear at 28 Commercial Avenue in George Town. Join us for more information on the programme and meet with the EAP programme Manager.
