Hurricane season is upon us, and at Polar Bear Air Conditioning, we want to ensure you’re fully prepared to keep your home and air conditioning system safe.
Here are some essential tips to help you get ready:

1. Secure Your Air Conditioning Unit
Hurricane Straps: Use hurricane straps to secure your outdoor unit. This helps prevent it from being displaced or damaged by high winds.
Mesh Covers: Install mesh covers to protect your unit from flying debris, leaves, and critters that can cause internal damage.
2. Protect Against Power Surges
Surge Protection: Invest in a surge protector for your air conditioner. This helps prevent damage from voltage spikes that often occur during storms.

3. Prevent Corrosion:
Sea Coating & Sacrificial Anodes: These upgrades provide crucial protection against the corrosive effects of salty air and water, prolonging the life of your unit.
